Our first procedure class specific box. Has all the supplies & personal care items in our Outpatient Surgery box with a few extra things to help after breast surgery in particular.
POP Top™ (1 or 2) – specially designed tank top that comes all the way apart at the shoulders. Hopefully they decrease your need to raise your arms. These comfy beauties can be donned while you still have your IV in so you could wear one home from your procedure. Available in heathered purple or black S, M, L, XL. Buy your regular, pre-op size as they’re sized to fit after surgery (when you’re in the process of becoming puffy). 89% Cotton, 11% Spandex. No metal, no latex, made in USA.
Nursing Pads (10) – best breast dressings ever. They’re absorbent, water-resistant on the outside (so no strike-through); they don’t need tape, and have little sticky strips to keep them from wandering in your bra. Simple.
11 x 8 x 5”-ish box – perfect for storing just about anything. I use them in my cabinets to store ancient Halloween candy, or for those video game figurines that really hurt to step on – you know the ones. Made from 100% recycled materials in USA. Recyclable if you choose to part with it.
Examples of procedures for which a Breast Box may be useful: Surgical breast biopsy, lumpectomy (or partial mastectomy) with or without lymph node biopsy, breast reduction, breast augmentation, gender reassignment “Top” surgery, nipple exploration, nipple reconstruction… (it also may be useful after other types of breast surgery with the addition of a Drain Kit). You probably don’t need two boxes for bilateral procedures.
